Directions for Book Creator
- One group member will create the book. Mrs. Carozza or Mrs. Matjasic will turn on the Collaboration feature so that others can edit.
- Select + to add elements (text, images, audio, shapes)
- Click i to change backgrounds of text boxes and pages
- To add images: Select Import - Do a Google Image search - Before you select one to add to your page, visit the web page on which the image is located (URL will appear above the Select button).
- To add video: Snip and save a picture of the video preview slide. Upload to your page. Add text as a caption and link the text to the video's URL. If you are using Classroom Video on Demand, be sure to link to the Segment URL. Note: The snippet of the video does not count as one of your images.
- To publish and turn in: Select "Publish online" from the Share menu. Enter a title and click "Publish Book". Click "Copy public share link to clipboard". This is the link you will post in Schoology. It should begin with read.bookcreator.com.
Search for images within the Book Creator program. They will automatically be permissible to use in school projects.
You still need to cite them in Noodletools. For images found in Wikimedia Commons, click the "Cite this page" link on the left side to copy the MLA citation.
